Walter Henry's Bookshop

Walter Henry's Bookshop in Bideford, Devon, is hosting an evening with Jasper Kent at the nearby Orchard Hill Hotel. Jasper will be reading from the new novel, Thirteen Years Later and chatting about his writing. The event begins at 7.30 pm on Tuesday March 30^th.

Tickets are £5, including a buffet, and are available from the bookshop (01237 425727 or walterhenrysbookshop@yahoo.co.uk).

Re-branding

As you've probably noticed, there's been a few changes to the site in anticipation of the release of Thirteen Years Later next month. (If you're not seeing the changes, you may need to refresh your browser cache.)

The biggest change is probably the new Flash animation at the front of the site. If you really loved the old one, it's still available here. And you can view the new one again here.

Following on from the 'Hotties' a few more 2009 round-ups have been posted. Dark Wolf's Fantasy Reviews puts Twelve at number 4 in its top 10, Liviu at Fantasy Book Critic puts it at 8 in his list of 'mainstream' favourites and Speculative Horizons has it in the Top 5 (in no particular order).

The fantasy blog Pat's Fantasy Hotlist has announced its year-end awards for 2009. Twelve comes sixth overall in the top ten speculative fiction titles for 2009, and wins the Rookie of the Year award for best debut. Full details here.

US Publication
